Fees
The fees associated with anesthesia are separate from your dental bill. Our services are available by request through your dental office.
Insurance
Most private medical insurance will not reimburse for anesthesia services in an office based setting. Many health plans will not consider Office Based Anesthesia (OBA) as a covered benefit for treatment of dental conditions. Despite this fact, OBA still seems to be more cost effective for patients than hospitals and surgery centers. It is not unusual for these facilities to charge facility fees as high as $4K or more. We will provide a superbill for each patient to file with their insurance for possible reimbursement through medical insurance.
Medicaid
We accept Medicaid for Pediatric & Special Needs PatientsIt has been found that over two thirds of the US fails to ensure that disadvantaged children receive the adequate resources for dental anesthesia despite the fact that oral health complaints amongst this population is a primary complaint facing our public health system in Kentucky. As a result and in order to aid in overcoming these barriers, Smiles While You Sleep has collaborated with all MCO’s of Kentucky.
